3.39. Bury the Hatchet

It opens after you finish both Deep Inside and The Big Score - Planning. It starts with Trevor visiting Michael's house, and you travel to North Yankton from the point of view of whichever of Michael or Trevor started the mission.

  • The argument at the house
  • Trevor wants to break Brad out of prison, but Michael changes the subject, and the two of them argue about what comes next. Trevor asks who is buried in Michael's grave in North Yankton, and when the answer does not satisfy him he drives off in Michael's car.
  • Going as Trevor
  • Go to Sandy Shores Airfield and fly to North Yankton in the plane Ron fueled. On the way, a text from Ron says Wei Cheng's men are looking for Trevor.
  • Going as Michael
  • Trevor took the car, so get another one, go to Los Santos International Airport, and enter through the terminal entrance on the second floor. A few men watch Michael as he checks in.
  • After you land in North Yankton, drive to Ludendorff Cemetery. On the way, a flashback of what happened nine years ago plays out.
  • The cemetery
  • Trevor, who arrived first, digs up the grave, and Brad's body is in the coffin. The moment the two of them draw pistols on each other, the Triads burst in, and Trevor runs out through the cemetery gate.
  • From here, as Michael, you have to fight through the Triads and get back to the car. The assault rifle, pump shotgun, and Micro SMG the Triads drop are more accurate and stronger than the pistol you start with.
  • Even when you get in the car it will not move, because Trevor tampered with it, and Michael is captured by the Triads.
  • Trevor's return
  • As Trevor, fly to Sandy Shores Airfield and landing finishes the mission. Along the way Wei Cheng calls, telling him to pull out of Blaine County with Michael held hostage, but Trevor laughs and hangs up.
  • Finishing it adds Wei Cheng to Trevor's contacts, and Pack Man unlocks. You cannot switch to Michael until you finish Fresh Meat.

  • At the end, fly straight to the airfield.

  • Michael's special ability helps.

  • Reasons for failure
  • A protagonist dies or is busted, or the car is destroyed, abandoned, or stuck
  • Going as Trevor: the plane is destroyed or stuck
  • Going as Michael: you leave the mission area, or you fail to reach the cemetery or the grave
