3.46. Legal Trouble

This is a request from Solomon Richards, and it opens once you finish The Ballad of Rocco, Reuniting the Family, and Architect's Plans. In Solomon's office, Devin's lawyer Molly Schultz snatches the Meltdown film and flees to the airport, and Michael chases her to get the film back.

  • Airport chase
  • Drive toward Los Santos International Airport and you see Molly running with a police escort. If the gap gets too wide, a warning says Molly is getting away, and if you lose her for good you fail.
  • Partway through, a Weazel News helicopter covers the chase. The key shown in the on-screen prompt turns the news-helicopter camera view on and off.
  • Once you reach the runway, scripted crashes follow one after another, including a truck exploding and police cars thrown by a plane's jet wash. Watch the road ahead and keep up.
  • If you chase in a plane or a helicopter, a notice says the airport is restricted airspace, and you fail if you fly in anyway. Find another vehicle and keep chasing.
  • Getting the film and getting out
  • Molly parks at Devin's hangar, runs inside, and is sucked into a jet engine. You fail if Molly dies before she reaches the hangar.
  • Pick up the dropped film and you get a three-star wanted level. The Shamal near the hangar entrance gets you out fast, but it takes about 8 seconds to start, so deal with the approaching police first. Lose the police and it is complete.
  • When you finish, the FlyUS stock price drops, and after you finish Meltdown it rises by more than it did before. If you have also finished Lamar Down, Meltdown opens.
  • Gold medal
  • Finish within 5 minutes 30 seconds
  • Skip the cutscene and escape in the Shamal.
  • Reach top speed in any car
  • It fills on its own if you just keep the crashes down. A motorcycle such as the Bati 801 makes it easier.
  • Lose the wanted level within 2 minutes
  • Taking the Shamal and climbing away is the fastest.
  • Watch the Weazel News camera for 15 seconds
  • Turn it on inside the airport, where there is room, and a crash is less of a worry.
  • Reasons for failure
  • Michael dies or is busted, Molly gets away, or Molly dies before she reaches the hangar
  • You fly into the restricted airspace, or you leave the film behind
